Ive Been in Love Lately.
Oysters - Oysters have never been my thing. I would always see people enjoying them when dining out but I could only handle eating 2, the most. I had some Rappahannock Oysters from Virginia at a party a few years ago and fell in love with their clean crisp taste. While dining at The Mermaid Inn recently I was so amazed at the tray's upon trays of oysters that people where ordering, I decided to order a few for myself. Well, 2 dozen oysters later, I was once reminded why I love Virginia oysters. Ive been craving oysters every day since.
My Apple Watch - I bought myself an Apple Watch for my birthday a few months ago and at first I was a little bored with it but now I love it. While it is a true luxury item, I love being able to lift my arm and see my world right on my wrist. Im keeping up with my weight loss goal and my Apple Watch keeps me on track with capturing how many steps I take throughout the day and how many calories I burn. I am excited to see how Apple changes the iOS on the watch come September. Im hoping for some more fab apps.
My Short Summer Haircut - I cut my hair shorter this summer as temperatures in NYC reached well past 100. I LOVE it. Its short enough to handle the humidity and its goes great from day to night with a fab pair of lashes and of course a red lip.
My Best Friend's Happiness - My best friend recently got engaged and landed a new job all in a month. After many years of us crying in frozen margaritas and gaining weight at lots of brunches together, she is finally getting what she wants and I couldn't be happier for her.
Starbucks Cold Brew - Im an avid coffee drinker. My norm is 2 cups per day, that is until I tried the sweet cream vanilla cold brew at Starbucks. I like my coffee as strong as can be but Starbucks cold brew is the champion of strong. With half and half and sugar, its literally the perfect iced coffee ever. Im sad that summer is about to end and I have to wait to have it again. So I better load up my Starbucks app and drink as much as I can now.
