With all of the fab treats Valentine's Day brings, the fabulous eater also needs a fabulous cocktail.
Valentine's Day is all about feeling sexy and fab and why not top of the night with a Pomp Fizz, crafted by mixologist Zachary Taylor of Dirty Water in San Francisco. 

This drink, glistening with a pink hue has all of my favorite components including Patrón, Prosecco and Pomegranates. Whether starting your evening off with a fab toast or finishing your Valentine's Day night with some chocolates, the Pomp Fizz  adds some fab to your Valentine's Day. 


Pomp Fizz

1.5 oz Patrón Reposado

.75 oz Lemon Juice

.5 oz Cinnamon Syrup*
1 heaping teaspoon of Pomegranate Seeds
Prosecco


**Cinnamon Syrup
1 cup Water
1 cup Sugar
2 sticks Canela (Mexican cinnamon), broken into pieces
Cinnamon Syrup Directions: 
Combine sugar, water and cinnamon in a sauce pan over medium heat and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved and a prominent cinnamon flavor develops. Transfer to a glass jar and Let cool. Store in refrigerator up to one month.
Pomp Fizz Directions: 

Build in shaker, adding tequila, juice, syrup, seeds and then ice. Shake vigorously and fine strain into a champagne flute. Top with Prosecco and then drop a teaspoon of pomegranate seeds into drink. Add 1 dash of angostura bitters to float on top.
